The Dick Purcell Spartan Classic 2026

Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Hershey Country Club.

The Dick Purcell Spartan Classic is an annual charity golf tournament presented by the Dearden Foundation in partnership with the Milton Hershey School Alumni Association. Honoring the legacy of Dick Purcell, this event brings together golfers, sponsors, and community supporters for a day of friendly competition and fundraising to support scholarships, mentoring programs, and essential services for Milton Hershey School students and graduates. The Classic is played in a scramble format at the beautiful Hershey Country Club, a premier golf and recreation destination founded by Milton S. Hershey in 1930 and steeped in rich golfing tradition. Participants have the unique opportunity to play both the East and West Courses, two championship 18-hole layouts featuring scenic rolling fairways, elevated greens, sparkling lakes, and tree-lined challenges that showcase the natural beauty of Central Pennsylvania. Set against the backdrop of one of the region’s most historic and prestigious clubs, the Spartan Classic offers world-class golf and a meaningful way to give back to the community.
