The Dick Purcell Spartan Classic is a joint effort of The Dearden Foundation and Milton Hershey School Alumni Association. Dick Purcell graduated from MHS in 1961 and passed away in 2004. Dick’s exceptional leadership skills were obvious throughout his life. He and his brother, Milt ’64, helped create The Dearden Foundation in an effort to assist young MHS graduates. Your donations directly benefit MHS students and young graduates through scholarships, MHS mentoring programs, and support services that cannot be provided by the School.
The Dearden Foundation and Milton Hershey School Alumni Association are 501(c)(3) nonprofits recognized by the IRS.
